Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello got married in November in Palm Beach. A self-confessed bridezilla, Vergara organised every last detail of the wedding, which had a floral theme. Her dress was a sexy custom-made creation by Zuhair Murad.

Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter got married on Valentines Day after announcing their engagement in December 2014. Although the couple released no official photographs of the Isle of Wight wedding (there were reportedly only 12 guests in attendance), Valentino did share this picture of the bride in her custom-made gown.

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder had a surprise wedding for their closest friends and family – telling guests that they were throwing a housewarming party. Held in a secret Topanga Canyon location, the wedding's theme was Coachella meets New Orleans, with taco stands, a cajun food station and a blues band.

Guy Ritchie and Jacqui Ainsley went for a festival-themed summer wedding at their home in Wiltshire, Ashcombe House. Celebrity guests including David Beckham, Henry Cavill and Brad Pitt were invited to stay on the grounds in tents and cabins during the two days of festitivies.

Nicky Hilton and James Rothschild were married in an elaborate three-day celebration in London this July, which included dinner at the Orangery at Kensington Palace and cocktails at Spencer House. The couple's actual nuptials took place in front of a wall of white flowers, with the bride wearing Valentino Haute Couture.

This year's most beautiful royal wedding goes to Sweden's Prince Carl Philip and his model wife Sofia Hellqvist, who tied the knot in the chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm on 13 June. The new princess wore an elegant lace gown by the Swedish designer Ida Sjostedt.

The Wimbledon champion Andy Murray married his longterm girlfriend Kim Sears in his hometown at Dunblane Cathedral in April of this year. The traditional Scottish ceremony saw Murray wearing a kilt, while his bride wore a hand-beaded Jenny Packham gown.

Jennifer Aniston married her fiancé of three years Justin Theroux in a hush-hush ceremony at their private Bel Air home in August. Unconfirmed rumours about the wedding include that the couple had a cake with Muppet versions of themselves on it and that Sia performed.

The exact timing of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's wedding is unknown (some speculate it was as early as March), but the couple did have a garden party at their home in Oak Glen, California in July to celebrate their union.
