Before the Big Day...

There are definitely a few things you’ll want to do in the months leading up to your wedding to prepare yourself.

If you have extra sensitive or temperamental skin, I would highly encourage you to visit a dermatologist at least six months before your wedding. They will be able to give you a specific routine to follow to make sure your skin is positively glowing on your wedding.

If you feel comfortable with your skin, there are a few really easy things you can do without consulting a professional.

1. The most basic piece of advice that I can give you is to wash your face. a lot. Don’t go to bed with makeup on, and make sure you wash off the dirt and oil you accumulate while you sleep in the morning. pictured: Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser

2. To keep your face fresh and smooth, exfoliate a few times a week with a gentle exfoliator. pictured:Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash

3. This is also a given, but make sure you wear your sunscreen. This is an important one, for all the time, not just yor wedding day. pictured: Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30 Cream

4. If you don’t have temperamental skin, or if your dermatologist gives you permission, you may want to try a face mask every month or so. But don’t do this {for the first time} in those last few days before your wedding. pictured: NARS Aqua Gel Luminous Mask

TIP: If you get a facial, make sure you do it at least two weeks before your wedding day, especially if you’ve never had one before.
